This painting works turned in either direction, but a poll of my Blog readers favored this orientation. And as I looked at it again, I saw so clearly the Southern Indiana fields, plowed and drying, along the Wabash River with a line of trees on either side. There is a place just like this in New Harmony, Indiana, where my sister and I loved to go!
