I had read an article in the paper about "glofs"--glacial lake overburst floods.  I do not have something in mind when I begin painting.  In fact, this one had been a struggle because the texture is so pronounced.  But once I solved the orientation issue, and began to paint, what emerged reminded me of the article.  There was no photograph, so this is an entirely imagined melting glacier lake.
