This canvas went through a number of iterations until there was something I liked. The thing I miss most about Southern California where I lived for 20 years is the beach at Santa Monica. We would walk down to Palisades Park every night after dinner and say goodnight to the ocean. The sunsets were glorious. It keeps appearing in my work!
