This piece has lots of texture from collage and from cold wax and working with water and alcohol spray into the paint layers.  When I finished, I thought about Monument Valley--the tall red rocks that rise from the desert floor.  Then I thought about Paris, and every city you can name, where monuments, both man-made and natural, are important markers of events and cultures.  This is one of those pieces I call a storyboard--hopefully each viewer will create their own story.
